Why Hand Braided Rings Are in a Category of Their Own
A hand braided ring cannot be made by a machine. Full stop. Every mass manufacturer in the world relies on casting, pressing, or computer-controlled milling to produce jewelry. A true hand-braided ring is made by a jeweler who takes multiple wires of solid gold, weaves them together by hand, fuses the ends, shapes the band, and polishes the result. The process takes hours per ring. No two rings are identical -- each carries its maker's fingerprints, in the most literal sense.
At LoveWeddingBands, our hand-braided wowowomen's wedding rings are crafted in our NYC workshop by master jewelers with over fifteen years of experience. We offer three-strand and four-strand braided options, in widths from 3mm to 6mm. The three-strand braid creates a delicate, lacy look ideal for small hands; the four-strand braid creates a fuller, more substantial band. Both are available in 14K yellow, white, and rose gold.
The Symbolism of the Braided Ring
Three strands braided together cannot be easily pulled apart -- each strand reinforces the strength of the whole. Many couples choose a hand-braided ring specifically for this symbolism: two lives (two strands) joined by love (the third strand), or two lives intertwining so completely that they create something stronger together than either could be alone.
